box or pouch with velvet lining. If this is not an option, wrap it in a soft material to protect it and prevent it from scratching.
∙Protect it. Bumps and scratches will cause the layer of real gold to wear away more quickly, so take special care to protect your gold plated navel ring when wearing. Sand can scratch the surface and chlorine can damage the color of gold-plating, so avoid wearing your gold plated belly rings to the beach or swimming pool.
